Hot off a summer spent climbing the radio charts with single “Settling,” the five-
piece touring phenoms Ripe have shared their exhilarating new single “Noise in the
Forest” out now on all platforms.

On the track, Singer Robbie Wulfsohn shares:
“I remember the initial catalyst for this song being a conversation in the room
about the capacity for anger. If memory serves, after a particularly great House of
Blues Boston show in February 2020, I was sharing a story about when I was
younger and my anger went from 0-10 in a way that was shocking to remember. I
remember that tour feeling particularly wonderful and I think I wanted to use that
good mood to take a loving look at anger. Where that led me was a love letter to
the band, the community, and the symbiotic relationship that we have. This record
that our listeners have allowed us to make gave us a body of music that has
certainly raised my individual spirits a number of times this last year and we now
get to take this thing that (both in the making of and now in the release of) makes
us feel better and bring it to our extended family to make them feel better too. If we
do that successfully, they’ll turn right around and feed us again. That’s the feeling I
find myself getting joyfully lost in, and feels like what I was trying to capture with
the image of ‘Noise in the Forest.’”
This summer “Settling” saw placement in the Top 25 at AAA and Alternative radio,
went as high as #8 on Alt Nation after being chosen as a Critical Cut and was among
the most played at stations in Denver, Portland and Boston. The song also saw
additions to playlists across the board including Spotify’s ALT NOW and It's ALT Good
as well as Apple’s ALT CTRL and New In Alternative and their total streams now sit
above 65 million.
The members of Ripe have never felt more assured about the band or their music.
Even before the pandemic, Ripe was on the cusp of something new. The band
began drawing acclaim from the likes of the Boston Globe, Huffington Post and
WXPN with EPs Produce The Juice and Hey Hello. Ripe built on that sound and
folded in a touch of R&B on their first full-length, Joy in the Wild Unknown. Their
streams surged, they conquered stages at festivals including Bonnaroo, Firefly,
SweetWater and Bottlerock,and they sold thousands of tickets across the US,
including sell outs at iconic venues like House of Blues Boston and Brooklyn Steel.
